President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi arrived in the Oleksandrivka sector and met with soldiers of the 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade.

"First and foremost, we are grateful to the warriors thanks to whom Ukraine can mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of its independence these days. Russia launched its full-scale war after the 30th anniversary, but for more than four years now, Ukrainian warriors have been fighting with pride and resilience to preserve our state. This is the main reason Ukraine exists and lives. I presented the soldiers with state awards. Thank you for your service!" the President said.
According to Zelenskyy, strengthening defences was discussed with the commanders.
"There are specific requests: the provision of drones, the need for long-range artillery and small radars, direct funding for brigades, AWOL, and the training and motivation of warriors. We will address everything. We must strengthen our defenders as much as possible," the head of state added.
