Fighters from the 23rd Assault Regiment of the R.U.G., part of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Khartiia", are continuing to liberate territory north of Kupiansk. The assault troops have cleared a further 2 km² of woodland west of Dvorichna.
This has been reported by Censor.NET, citing the ‘Khartiia’ press office.
Advances in the Kupiansk sector
It is reported that assault troops from the 23rd Separate Assault Regiment of the R.U.G. Corps ‘Khartiia’ are continuing to advance through the woodland west of Dvorichna in the Kupiansk district. Recently, the troops have cleared a further 2 km² of woodland, driving the enemy out of their fortified strongholds.
Footage from drones and R.U.G. helmet-mounted cameras provides objective evidence of the assault teams’ success: the enemy’s attempts to establish a foothold or launch a counter-attack have been decisively thwarted, positions have been cleared, and enemy trophies and documents have been collected.
"The fighters are pressing on and moving deeper into the forest, leaving no comrades behind on the battlefield. This is a continuation of the operation, as part of which the unit had previously liberated 7.5 km² of woodland west of Dvorichna and established control over the northern part of the village of Zapadne," explained "Charter".
The combat history of the ‘Khartiia’ Corps
"Step by step. Position by position. We are liberating Ukrainian territory from the enemy. The ‘Khartiia’ Corps has been defending the Kharkiv region since 2022: from defending Kharkiv and reaching the state border to repelling a renewed Russian offensive in 2024 near Vovchansk and Lypci – in two years, the enemy has not come within a single metre of Kharkiv", commented the "Khartiia" Corps.
In 2025–2026, the ‘Charter’ battalion – specifically, fighters from the R.U.G. – took part in the liberation of territories north of Kupiansk and in the mop-up operations in Kupiansk itself.
