SUV exploded in Mariupol, killing driver. VIDEO+PHOTOS

In the morning of March 31, a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV exploded in Mariupol's Edelveis market area. The blast was so powerful, it damaged windows in nearby houses.

"The blast occurred at 8:40 a.m. The driver was killed. Police says the vehicle belonged to a civilian. Police is operating on the scene. They say a new blast is possible," the website reported.

"A witness says the car was moving slowly, then the explosion occurred, and the body of the driver flew out of the car," the website said.

Images from the scene have been also published by some witnesses.







Mariupol resident Anton Simanchuk posted photos and videos from the scene on his Facebook account.
