One person killed, child wounded in skirmish on Poltava beach. PHOTOS+VIDEO

A skirmish occurred on Dublianshchyna beach in Poltava, which resulted in one person killed and several wounded.

Press office of local patrol police reported that one of the shooters has been detained. Witnesses say that the people who were spending time on the beach started to quarrel. First they used non-lethal guns, and then a Saiga rifle, possibly officially registered.

The news outlet reportede that two people, Oleksandr and Roman Marchenko, a father and a son, suffered in the incident. Roman rented a spot on the beach. A man from another part of the beach came up to Marchenko, and they started to fight. The man left and returned with armed people. Witnesses say that during the conflict, owner of a store Marchenko fired into the man's chest from a rifle. Soon after receiving the wound, the man died. Some shrapnel also hit a child, who survived. The other side of the conflict fired from non-lethal guns. One of the participants of the skirmish fled the scene on a VAZ-2108. Police are conducting a raid to find him.
