EU will provide Ukraine with million projectiles and more than thousand missiles, - Borrell
The European Union will prepare 1 million 155 mm projectiles for Ukraine, as well as more than one thousand rockets.
This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, Censor.NET informs with reference to UNIAN.
He reminded that the total aid to Ukraine from the countries and organizations of the European Union as of today amounts to 16 billion euros.
Borrell said that the EU has already trained more than 17,000 Ukrainian military personnel and plans to increase this number to 30,000 by the end of 2023.
"Now defense has the highest priority because we are faced with war. Therefore, it is important that the defense side of our foreign policy acquires more and more importance," the diplomat added.
Borrell noted that without Western military aid, Ukraine would cease to exist as an independent state.
"Russia will win the war, occupy Kyiv and turn Ukraine into a second Belarus. Ukraine will cease to exist, and Russian troops will approach the Polish border, our security will decrease. This is what will happen," he concluded.
