EU Postpones Sanctions Against Russia to Maintain Truce in Ukraine
EU member states have decided to postpone the official publication of a new package of restrictive measures against Russia.
This was announced on Tuesday by Italian Foreign Minister, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Policy Federica Mogherini, Censor.NET reports citing Den.

The aim is to promote further implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine, she said. "For the first time the ceasefire has been observed for some time," she said during a speech in the upper house of the Italian parliament.
"This does not mean that we have peace in Ukraine, but it is clear that we need a signal of encouragement for the full implementation of the plan. This is the reason why we have suspended the introduction of the sanctions," Mogherini said.

In addition, responding to questions about a possible participation of Italy in the provision of military assistance to Ukraine, Mogherini confirmed that, in general, Rome does have such an intention, however, the matter should be discussed in the parliament.
