EU Does Not Recognize Illegal Elections in Occupied Crimea

The European Union does not intend to recognize the elections carried out on September 14 on the territory of Crimea annexed by Russia.

The European External Action Service press center stated this, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainian News.

According to the agency, the EU continues to condemn the illegal annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and shall never recognize it. In connection with the reports about local "elections" in Crimea and Sevastopol, the European Union stresses that it does not recognize the eligibility or legitimacy of these elections.
