President: There Will Be No Peacekeepers in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko strongly opposes the introduction of peacekeepers on the territory of Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET citing Ukrainska Pravda, he stated this during a press conference, answering reporters' questions.
"There will be no peacekeeping troops in Ukraine. Period," Poroshenko said.

According to him, there will be no peacekeepers because such experience in Transnistria and other "frozen" conflicts, where peacekeeping troops are, demonstrates that a country loses sovereignty over its territory.
Poroshenko noted that the OSCE monitoring mission will be present in the Donbas. There are 500 OSCE observers currently working in Ukraine.
According to Poroshenko, the first drones that will be used to monitor the ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy artillery, rocket launchers and other weapons of destruction beyond the limit of their range will arrive on Thursday.
