SAP chief Kholodnytskyi: over 10 defense sector proceedings in progress
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) is investigating more than 10 defense-related proceedings.
This was stated by SAP head Nazar Kholodnytskyi in a comment to Hromadske TV, Censor.NET reports.
"We have more than a dozen cases related to Ukroboronprom and it’s not only Ukroboronprom, we call this a legal process in the defense sector, which comprises all cases concerning state security and defense," Kholodnitskyi said.
He added that the only case that is already in court is the case of the Lviv Armor Vehicle Factory, whose director is accused of purchasing second-rate engines, which had previously been sold by the army to private companies.
"We are at the final stage of a probe into fuel procurement for the needs of the Ministry of Defense, where there are tens of thousands of tons of diesel fuel, in particular, belonging to the Trade Commodity company, which sold the fuel to the Ministry of Defense. This proceeding has already been completed, the suspects have been handed over the materials, we are waiting for them to be taken to the court There are other proceedings, which have been investigated since 2015 to 2016. More than a dozen of them, " the head of the SAP summarized.
He also said that it is "wrong and too early" to name them now.
