Romania Supports Tightening of Sanctions Against Russia

Romania advocates maintaining of the sanctions against Russia, as well as their strengthening if necessary.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Bogdan Aurescu announced today at the press conference, Censor.NET reports citing zn.ua.

"The situation in Ukraine, the state neighboring with Romania, with significant Romanian diaspora is still difficult and continues to deteriorate in the east of the country. In this context, it is important to adhere to the sanctions by the EU and even strengthen them if necessary. It is also imperative to continue diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict. In addition, we will continue to support reforms in Ukraine, along with other EU Member States," Aurescu said.
