Multiple explosions in Donetsk: several dead, dozens of wounded civilians - NSDC
The National Security and Defense Council reports about multiple explosions that shook Donetsk on Friday. There are dead and injured civilians.
National Security and Defense Council representative Volodymyr Poliovyi said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"Multiple explosions that inflicted casualties among the civilians took place in Donetsk today: there are dead and dozens of wounded. The information about the victims and the event itself is specified," he said.
According to preliminary conclusions, the attack is regarded as a provocative act aimed at disrupting the peace process and the next meeting of the contact group in trilateral format.
Poliovyi also said that Debaltseve is under control of the Ukrainian military but is regularly shelled by the militants.
The information about the destruction of two Ukrainian checkpoints in the vicinity of Luhanske village which is located near Debaltseve and death of a large number of Ukrainian servicemen was not confirmed.
The Armed Forces command asks to respect the decision to limit the information about the situation in Vuhlehirsk, aimed at not endangering lives of the Ukrainian soldiers there.
