UN Under-Secretary-General Griffiths will visit Ukraine to analyze humanitarian situation

Next week, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths will visit Ukraine to analyze the effectiveness of humanitarian aid in winter conditions.

According to Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform, This was stated by the UN Secretary General's spokesman Stephane Dujarric.

Griffiths will be in Ukraine from December 12 to 15, meeting with government officials, UN humanitarian partners, representatives of NGOs and the diplomatic corps, as well as people affected by the war, Dujarric said.

According to the spokesperson, the UN Under-Secretary-General "will analyze the effectiveness of the humanitarian response and the new challenges that arise in connection with the damage to infrastructure and winter frosts".

In Mykolaiv, Griffiths will visit a shelter for internally displaced persons and a UN-supported bakery.

In Kherson, he will inspect a humanitarian aid distribution point.
