Ukraine and France agreed to master new air defense system by Ukrainian Armed Forces - Ministry of Defense
On December 28, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov met with his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu in Kyiv.

"Today we have focused on the list of priorities of Ukraine to win this war. This concerns air, missile, anti-drone defense to protect our skies, increasing the number of heavy artillery of 155 caliber and ammunition. After all, the powerful Saesar guns used on the battlefield need quality shells. We also need armored vehicles to protect our personnel. In addition, we have agreed to launch a new training program for our Air Force officers to prepare and master the new air defense system, which will be announced later," Reznikov was quoted as saying by the Defense Ministry website.
In his turn, Lecornu informed that France had chosen several directions to assist Ukraine. "Firstly, it is the transfer of equipment of the French armed forces for the Ukrainian army at the beginning of next year. The second direction of assistance is the European Peace Fund, which is an important instrument, the strength and power of Europe to support Ukraine. France makes a large contribution to this Fund - 500 million euros. And the third direction is a newly created fund in France, through which Ukraine can address orders to the French military-industrial complex," the Ukrainian ministry quoted him as saying.
At the meeting the French representatives were also presented a briefing on the implementation of the logistics system LOGFAS, which allows monitoring the supply and movement of Western weapons to Ukraine.
To recap, French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecorne visited Kyiv for the first time since the beginning of Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine. He met with Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
