Iermak about Soledar: Neither party controls city

The situation in Soledar is very difficult. However, neither side controls the city.
This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Iermak in an interview with Le Monde, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to RBC-Ukrаine.
"The situation is difficult, even very difficult, it is the Battle of Verdun of the 21st century, which is taking place now in Bakhmut and Soledar. The fighting has been going on for several months, but our soldiers manage to hold their positions," he said.
Iermak stressed that Russians release criminals from prisons who die as soon as they reach the front line.
"Their bodies are left behind, they are not even restored, there are many losses on the Russian side, much more than on ours. We obviously value the lives of our soldiers more. But we are facing a lot of people who attack, attack, attack. There are street battles in Soledar, and neither side controls the city. Russians are there, but they do not control it," he added.
The head of the OP added that Ukraine retains one goal in this war - the liberation of territories, the full restoration of the territorial integrity of the country.
