Fierce battles continue in Vuhledar direction, 58 clashes per day, - Cherevaty
The occupiers do try to achieve intermediate success in the Vuhledar direction but are repulsed.
This was reported by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevaty, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"For many months in a row, the military of the Russian Federation, using motorized rifle units and marines, have been trying to achieve significant success there (in Vugledar. - Ed.), but have been seriously rebuffed by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Having losses, they retreat. In particular, during this day they carried out 322 shellings, 58 clashes. The enemy lost 109 people killed, 188 wounded," he said.
He also reported that the enemy lost 4 tanks, 3 IFVs, and 3 UAVs of the "Orlan-10" type in this direction.
The spokesman of the Eastern group emphasized that there is fierce fighting and the enemy is really trying to achieve intermediate success but is being repulsed.
"Thanks to the efforts of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is unable to do this, to put it mildly, he exaggerates his achievements in telegram channels," he added.
In addition, during the day in the Vodiane, Nevelske, and Mariinka areas, the enemy also tried to carry out assault actions to systematically break through the Ukrainian defense.
"Our task is to prevent them from breaking through the defense and at the same time exhaust the enemy as much as possible, bleed them, reduce their offensive potential," he explained.
