Ministry of Defense of Poland on possibility of transferring F-16 to Ukraine: "We have too few of them"

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak avoided a direct answer when asked whether Warsaw would transfer F-16 fighter jets to the Ukrainian Defense Forces if Washington approved their re-export.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to LIGA.net.
According to the minister, the Polish Air Force has few of these combat aircraft.
"We have too few of them, only 48. It's a pity that a larger contract was not chosen when making the purchase decision," Blaszczak noted.
He recalled that "it was Polish pressure" on NATO partners that helped Ukraine get Patriot air defense systems and Leopard tanks.
The minister suggested that Russia's war against Ukraine will not end soon, but Poland will always support its neighbors in the east, because "a free Ukraine means a free Poland."
"If Putin takes over Ukraine, he will not stop there. President Lech Kaczyński understood this, and each of us should understand this," emphasized the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense.
