Russian occupiers have strengthened forced passporting in Melitopol, - Mayor Fedorov

The occupiers increased the pressure on civilians in Melitopol. They resort to new methods of blackmail in order to force them to obtain a Russian passport.
As Censor.NET informs, Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorova wrote about this on Telegram.
In order to force civilians to obtain a Russian passport, the occupiers introduced a number of restrictions in the city:
- it will be difficult to do business without a Russian passport;
- holders of Ukrainian passports were deprived of the opportunity to receive some social benefits;
- from March 1, only holders of Russian passports will receive pensions;
- Russian passports are required to reissue a car;
- in the absence of a Russian passport, it will be impossible to own property.
"They make criminals of the residents of the occupied territories, who themselves have been put on the edge of survival. And they think that this way they will be able to subjugate the people. Despite pressure and intimidation, even with Russian passports, which they will be forced to take in order not to die of hunger, the unconquered residents of TOT remain loyal to Ukraine and most of all expect victory," Fedorov said.
