Forced capacity reduction at Rivne and South Ukrainian NPPs - IAEA

Due to renewed shelling of the energy infrastructure, the capacity of two nuclear power plants of Ukraine was reduced.
This is stated in the statement of the IAEA, Censor.NET informs.
"Two of the three operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants - Rivne and South Ukrainian - as a precautionary measure reduced the output of electricity due to strikes on the energy infrastructure. Due to the instability of the power grid, as a result of the shelling, one of the units of the Khmelnytsky reactor also stopped," the IAEA said.
It is clarified that the nuclear safety systems at the Khmelnytsky NPP worked properly.
