There is currently no capacity deficit, Oblenergo limits were not provided, - "Ukrenergo"
Electricity consumption gradually increases, compared to the day off, which is traditional for the beginning of the working week.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of "Ukrenergo".
As noted, there is currently no capacity deficit in the power system. The available capacity is sufficient to cover consumption needs.
"The absence of a deficit is explained by the fact that after repairs, additional power units at several thermal power plants were included in the work, the production of electricity in the power system increased, which fully covers consumption.
Also, due to the flood, hydroelectric power plants are working intensively. Increased daylight hours and clear weather favor generation from renewable energy sources. The import of electricity from Slovakia is also ongoing," the report says.
According to "Ukrenergo", due to the lack of power consumption limits have not yet been reached in the regions. Measurements of actual consumption in the regions of Ukraine are carried out in accordance with the schedule.
However, due to the damaged network infrastructure in Odesa, there are hourly outage schedules. In the Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr regions and in the city of Kyiv, as consumption increases, it is also possible to apply shutdowns in accordance with the schedules of distribution system operators to avoid the risk of equipment overload.
"Also remind that more than 10 GW of the main installed capacities are currently inaccessible to the Ukrainian energy system and are under the control of the enemy. This is the largest in Ukraine and Europe Zaporizhzhia NPP, as well as Zaporizhzhia TPP, Luhansk TPP, Vuhlehirska TPP, Kakhovka HPP. In addition, the majority of wind and solar power plants are also located in the temporarily occupied territories of the south. Note that, in addition to the NPP, the rest of the power plants are key regulating capacities. They are the ones who provide coverage of consumption in peak morning and evening hours," the report says.
Repair work continues at several power plants damaged during missile and drone attacks by the Russians. Ukrenergo's repair crews are also continuing repair work on all main network facilities damaged as a result of Russian attacks, to eliminate network restrictions and transfer electricity from generation to consumers.
