Fighter jets for Ukraine will not be Ramstein’s topic - Baerbok
German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock said that the Ramstein meeting would not discuss the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine.
This is stated by Handelsblatt, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to LeagueBusinessInform.
As noted, on the eve of the Western allies' discussion of further arms supplies to Ukraine, Baerbok confirmed that the German government is not currently considering providing fighter jets.
"This is not a debate we are having," she said during a visit to Finland.
Western defense ministers and military representatives are meeting in Brussels on February 14 for another meeting in the Ramstein format.
Usually, new arms supply commitments are approved at such meetings.
Several NATO countries and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg have demonstrated their readiness to supply fighter jets. This may also be a topic at Tuesday's meeting. Then the defense ministers of 30 NATO countries will meet in Brussels.
