Ukraine will receive no more than 50 Western tanks by April, - Times

Before Russia’s expected spring offensive, Ukraine will probably receive less than a quarter of the modern battle tanks promised to it by its Western partners.
As Censor.NET reports, The Times writes about it.
It is estimated that only 50 tanks will arrive at the front by the beginning of April, which is a cause for concern because they will not be enough to have a significant impact on the fighting. As the newspaper writes, Ukraine expects that its allies will send a total of up to 320 Western tanks.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said his ministers would try at the Munich Security Conference, which ends today, to rally partners to hand over most of the 80 Leopard 2 tanks promised by European countries.
It will be recalled that at the Ramstein meeting on February 14, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin stated that eight countries would supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine. The United States, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands will together provide more than 90 T-72 tanks, while the United Kingdom will provide Challenger 2 tanks.
Training of Ukrainians on Leopard 2 tanks began in Germany in February. The spokeswoman of the German Ministry of Defense said that they should be completed by the end of the first quarter - simultaneously with the transfer of 14 Leopard 2A6 tanks.
