Reznikov on supply of aircraft to Ukraine: Issue has already been resolved

First there was the "tank initiative", then came the "tank coalition", and a similar initiative for aircraft already exists. All that remains is to "decorate" this "aircraft coalition".
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"At first there was a "tank initiative" that was born in certain minds and it was worked out, then the "tank coalition" came. The same, believe me, with planes. The initiative already exists. It remains to "decorate" this "aircraft coalition", - explained the head of the Ministry of Defense.
According to him, long-range missiles are things that we can already use from certain launchers, and we already have these launchers.
"Further questions, let's say, we will solve," he added.
Reznikov is convinced that Ukraine does not need to stop at its own production.
"We have excellent Neptunes. We have excellent production. Our military industry - both private and state, believe me, does not stand still, and the work continues. Therefore, as we convinced with our Neptunes, that we should be given anti-ship "harpoons", that's how we convince many others (about a number of things. - Ed.), that's why they give us a lot," the minister said.
As the head of the MDU informed, the issue of long-range missiles is a matter of a technical solution in general, not a political one.
"The issue of an aircraft platform, like an airplane, is still a little political, but by and large, I definitely already know and feel it, consider that it has already been resolved. It is simply a matter of choosing which platform will be the main and basic one. This is a fundamental task." - he declared.
According to Reznikov, it is necessary to stop the dominance of Russian aviation in the sky, to prevent the Russians from launching a counteroffensive, and to prepare our counteroffensive.
"I mean, it's still a defense system. And we explain it to our partners. The fact that we use our right to self-defense according to the UN charter. And they've already heard it. They have no doubt that this (for example, shelling. - Ed.) - another level of escalation, that the Russians will (do. - Ed.) something there. No," he said.
The minister noted that now there is a question of pragmatic assessment — what are the spare parts, which engineering technicians will more easily train our engineering technicians, what weapons will we use, and so on. "Actually speaking, this is a matter of choosing the best solution," the official assured.
