Italy can give Ukraine five combat planes, but does not want to be first - La Repubblica

Italy is ready to supply Ukraine with five Tornado and AMX combat aircraft, but does not want to be the first to do so for reasons of political expediency.

This is reported by La Repubblica with reference to its own sources, Censor.NET informs

"The country does not want to create the impression that it is forced to follow the long wave of allies led by Great Britain, which is pushing partners to a new, decisive step," the message reads.

Also, according to the report, the Italian government is considering the idea of holding an international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
