One of strategic goals of Ukrainian counteroffensive will be attempt to "drive wedge into Russian front in south", - Skibitsky

In the spring, the Ukrainian army will be ready to launch a counteroffensive, and one of its strategic goals will be an attempt to "drive a wedge into the Russian front in the south."
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to UP, this was reported by the Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitsky.
According to Skibitsky, Ukraine will be ready for a counteroffensive in the spring. At the same time, he noted that the specific time of the offensive depends on several factors, including the supply of Western weapons.
The deputy head of the Defence Intelligence stated that one of the strategic goals of the counteroffensive will be an attempt to "drive a wedge into the Russian front in the south - between Crimea and the Russian mainland."
Skibitsky does not rule out that Ukraine will strike weapons depots on the territory of the Russian Federation, in particular in the Belgorod region.
"Attacks on Ukraine start from there. This poses a threat, for example, to Kharkiv," he said.
"(The goal of the counteroffensive. - Ed.) is to liberate all occupied territories of Ukraine, including Crimea. We will stop only when we restore the country to the borders of 1991," Skibitsky emphasized.
