Pistorius predicts that Ukraine can form 2 battalions of Leopard tanks
Ukraine will probably be able to form two battalions (62 units) of German Leopard-2 tanks after they are delivered to the country.
This was stated by the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, in an interview with Deutschlandfunk, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, he is quite sure that for the formation of the second battalion by Ukraine, it is possible to use Leopard 2A6 tanks, which Germany promised to hand over.
"Yes, this is possible," he said, commenting on the possibility of transferring 62 tanks to Ukraine.
At the same time, Pistorius was skeptical about further deliveries of German tanks, because we have to wait for new deliveries from industry.
"If I gave away all the tanks, I wouldn't be able to teach anymore," he added.
