Russia becomes "junior" partner of China, - Bolton
China has recently managed to become a "senior" partner in relations with Russia.
Such an opinion was expressed by John Bolton, the former adviser on the national defense of US President Donald Trump, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"We are watching Russia increasingly come under the control of China. This is an alliance that China is forming, and Russia is a junior partner in it," Bolton said.
At the same time, he emphasized that such relations between Moscow and Beijing are problematic for the United States.
"It would be good to find a way to win Russia back from China," said Trump's ex-advisor.
Bolton called on the current US administration to react to the constant rapprochement between China, the Russian Federation, Iran, and North Korea.
"We are sitting idly by, while the Chinese, Russians, Iran, North Korea, and some others are taking a step towards rapprochement and threatening us in many places," he noted.
Bolton also pointed out that China can emerge victorious from the war in Ukraine, no matter how it ends.
"One of the biggest winners of the war in Ukraine is China. If Russia wins, capturing all of Ukraine, it will be a victory for China's ally, which will strengthen China itself. However, if Russia continues to imprison Ukraine, it will make the Russian Federation even more dependent on China. In that case, China will also win," he concluded.
