The chamber notes that it considers arrest warrants secret "for the purpose of protecting victims and witnesses, as well as for the purpose of ensuring the investigation."
"Nevertheless, bearing in mind that the conduct referred to in this situation is likely to continue, and that public awareness of the warrants may contribute to the prevention of further crimes, the Chamber considers that it is in the interests of justice to authorize the Secretariat to make public the existence of the warrants, the names suspects, the crimes for which the warrants were issued, and the measures of responsibility established by the Chamber", - announced the Acting President of the International Criminal Court Piotr Hofmanskyi
The aforementioned arrest warrants were issued based on motions filed by the prosecutor's office on February 22, 2023.
