Cabinet of Ministers has simplified conditions for production of military drones, - Fedorov

At its meeting on March 24, the Cabinet of Ministers launched an experimental project on the defense procurement of domestically produced drones. The government expects that this will start the mass production of drones in Ukraine
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, the Government launched the mass production of drones in Ukraine. A truly historic resolution was passed for victory, which will significantly speed up the creation and delivery of domestic drones to the front, and most importantly, will create conditions for the rapid development of Ukrainian military technology.
Today's decision will allow UAV manufacturers to develop more actively, scale up, reinvest profits, and compete with foreign companies. Instead of spending months on unnecessary paper and bureaucratic work — accelerated admission of UAVs to operation, their purchase and delivery to the front.
It is important that the resolution fundamentally changes the state's approach to the miltech business itself. Previously, the profit on foreign components was 1%, on own goods and services - 30%. Such regulation restrained the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, stimulated them to move abroad or manipulate documents. This had to be changed. In order to stimulate the development of UAVs in Ukraine and attract more companies to production, scaling and increasing the level of localization of components, the state raised the share of profit to 25%," Fedorov said.
The Ministry of Defense reported that it had received applications from Ukrainian manufacturers for 75 drones of various types, and 16 contracts had already been signed.
"This is just the beginning. We are talking about the development of the drone market for a wide range of applications - air-ground-water. This is about adjusting artillery, and inflicting damage on the enemy (strike drones), and about delivering military equipment, evacuating the wounded, etc.," - said Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.
