Daniil Lyashuk, pseudo Mojahed, volunteer from Belarus, was killed at front
Daniil Lyashuk with the call sign Mojahed died in the battles for Ukraine.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Telegram channel of the warrior.
"Unfortunately, we are forced to announce the death of our friend, our brother, our relative. You were born a hero, you died a hero. We will all remember you forever," the authors noted.
The text also states a request to the authorities to posthumously grant Daniil Lyashuk Ukrainian citizenship and the title of Hero of Ukraine.
Daniil Lyashuk is a citizen of Belarus who came to Ukraine after the beginning of Russian armed aggression in 2014 and joined the newly formed "Tornado" battalion, Espresso informs. In 2015, the Prosecutor General's Office established that Tornado fighters in Luhansk region kidnapped people, raped, killed and engaged in looting. The company was disbanded, ex-Tornado members were sentenced to 5-11 years with deprivation of military rank. They were accused of violence and torture.
In 2015, during the arrests, "Mojahed" escaped, but he was detained in September: military prosecutor Anatolii Matios called him "the most dangerous and cruelest of all the suspected fighters of the Tornado company."
In April 2017, all "Tornado" fighters were found guilty, Daniil Lyashuk was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was freed in 2021, because the "Savchenko law" applied to all of "Tornado".
Daniil Lyashuk has been fighting at the front since the first months of the full-scale invasion, the BBC reported that he was wounded while transporting a captured Russian soldier to his unit.
