Slovakia has already handed over promised 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine, - Minister of Defense, Nagy
As of April 17, Slovakia completed the process of transferring MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. All the promised 13 planes are already in Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia, Jaroslav Nagy, Censor.NET informs with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia.
As noted, after the four units were handed over in March of this year, the other 9 units were also successfully handed over to Ukrainian forces.
"This transfer was carried out by land with the highest possible safety in mind, again a huge thank you to all the components involved, because in such cases it is a really important and complex logistical operation," Nagy emphasized.
According to him, MiG-29 aircraft are essential to support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
"Besides, unlike our neighbor, these planes were unsuitable for us. We are doing the right thing," the minister said.
