Russia does not have potential to attempt large-scale offensive anywhere in Ukraine, - Budanov

Russia has no potential for a large-scale offensive and is trying to accumulate a certain stockpile of missiles in order to thwart a Ukrainian counteroffensive.

This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with Yahoo News, Censor.NET informs with reference to the press service of the Defense Intelligence.

"As of now, Russia does not have the military, economic, or political potential to launch a large-scale offensive anywhere in Ukraine," said the head of Ukrainian military intelligence.

At the same time, according to the head of the Defense Intelligence, the aggressor state Russia is still capable of conducting serious defensive operations, and this is a problem that Ukraine will have to face.

Budanov also reported that the Russian Federation is trying to accumulate a certain stockpile of missiles in order to disrupt the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

"However, the truth is that the Russians have reduced their missile reserves to almost nothing," he said.

Budanov compared the enemy mercenary fighters, the so-called "PMC" with the soldiers of the aggressor's regular army, saying that the "Wagnerians" have much better training. At the same time, the leader of the "Wagner" Communist Party Prigozhin uses the huge losses of his mercenaries in the war to conduct a political campaign: "His political future is directly related to his physical survival, because there are too many forces in the Russian Federation that want to eliminate him. Obviously, he will try to defend himself, because for him it is not even a matter of exile or prison - it is a matter of life and death," Budanov said.

Responding to a journalist's question about the alleged involvement of Ukrainian special services in the liquidation of a number of Russian public apologists for the war against Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov refused to confirm or deny this information:

"Do not continue this topic. All I will comment on is that we killed Russians and we will kill Russians anywhere in the world until the complete victory of Ukraine," the head of the Defense Intelligence emphasized.

Among other things, Budanov admitted that the Russian Federation knows how to act in the information space, so Muscovites will show even an imaginary missile attack on the Kremlin as a "victory", claiming that in this way they prevented the biggest catastrophe in the history of mankind.

"It sounds like a joke, but Russians accept such nonsense," Major General Budanov explained.
