Cruise missiles are key Russian weapon against armed counteroffensive, - British intelligence

Russian troops used Kalibr cruise missiles only after a two-month break on May 9, as they restore their reserves.
This is stated in the intelligence report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, Censor.NET informs.
In the short term, Russia likely views cruise missiles as a key capability for striking deep into Ukraine to thwart expected Ukrainian counterattacks. More strategically, Russia believes that cruise missiles will play an important role in any hypothetical conflict with NATO.
"How to use these scarce and expensive weapons is one of the many dilemmas faced by Russian commanders, because the war in Ukraine is lasting much longer than they originally planned," the British Ministry of Defense notes.
