Zelensky on counteroffensive: We really need some time, not much
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine needs a little more time to start a counteroffensive.
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to LIGA.net, he stated this in response to a journalist's question during a meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The president said that Ukraine is "preparing very important counteroffensive steps", but more time is needed.
"We really need a little more time. Not too much. We'll be ready, you know, in a little while. I want to be perfectly honest with you, but I can't share some dates with you... We have no secrets from our friends, but we have some secrets from our "neighbors," Zelensky added.
It will be recalled that Zelensky previously stated that Ukraine needs more time to prepare for a counteroffensive.
He later announced that the first important steps regarding the Ukrainian counteroffensive would take place "soon."
