France "opened door" for training of Ukrainian pilots, - Macron

France may start training Ukrainian pilots to fly Western fighter jets right now.

This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Le Figaro.

He said that France has decided to build training centers in the east of the country for Ukrainian military personnel who will be responsible for leading the counteroffensive, defense, and repairing equipment.

At the same time, Macron noted that he had already "opened the door" for training Ukrainian pilots.

"Training can start now... This can be done with European countries that are ready. I think discussions are underway with the Americans," Macron added.

As reported, the UK will begin the initial phase of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16s in the summer.
