AFU achieved tactical success in Bakhmut, - British intelligence
The defense forces of Ukraine pushed back the Russian invaders to the south and northwest of Bakhmut.
This was announced on Twitter by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain with reference to intelligence data, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that the "Wagnerians" continue to advance gradually in the center of Bakhmut.
"However, during the last four days, Ukrainian forces have made tactical progress, stabilizing the flanks of Bakhmut in their favor.
In addition to advancing south of the city, Ukrainian attacks pushed back the Russian front line northwest of the city. This likely allowed Ukrainian forces to resume more secure use of the key supply route 0506," the statement said.
According to intelligence, Ukraine is holding back the Russian offensive on the line of the Siversky Donets - Donbas canal, turning the waterway into an obstacle within the framework of a deep defensive strip around the city of Chasiv Yar.
