Ukraine is ready to become a member of NATO. Our country is waiting for the Alliance to be ready to accept it.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Ukraine is ready to join NATO, we are waiting for NATO to be ready to accept Ukraine. Security guarantees are important not only for Ukraine but also for our neighbors - for Moldova due to Russia's aggression," Zelensky said at the first press conference after arriving at the summit of the European Political Community.
The president said that he is glad to be in Moldova. He emphasized that it was not easy to get there.
According to him, this visit is a message from all Ukrainians that our country supports the Moldovan people and is always ready to go together - side by side.
He thanked the Moldovans for accepting all Ukrainian refugees.
Zelenskyi also said that he discussed relations between the countries, infrastructure, important projects that they will complete shortly, as well as the future in the EU with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
