Pentagon will buy Gepard systems for Ukraine for almost 120 million dollars

The American company Global Military Products Inc. received from the US Ministry of Defense a contract for the amount of 118.3 million dollars for the purchase and delivery of Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems for Ukraine.
As Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform, this is stated in the press release of the Pentagon.
"Global Military Products Inc of Florida has been awarded a $118,375,740 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement and supply of Gepard 35mm anti-aircraft systems," the statement said.
The contract will be performed in Amman, Jordan, with an estimated completion date of May 30, 2024. The money for it was allocated from "funds for foreign military sales (Initiative to promote the security of Ukraine)".
As reported, in Germany, the Rheinmetall concern will produce ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns, which are actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
