In the West, they are discussing the possibility of transferring "dozens" of F-18 fighter jets to Ukraine along with F-16 aircraft, the delivery of which has already been agreed.

As reported by Censor.NET with reference to "European Pravda", this was reported by Politico.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian delegation raised the issue of F-18 supply at closed meetings during the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore last week.

They note that Ukraine may receive "dozens of old but serviceable F-18s", which will soon be available for export.

The publication reminds that Australia, Canada, Switzerland and Finland are switching from F-18 to F-35.

At the same time, according to Politico, this plan is still far from being implemented, but "talks about weapons have a habit of turning into deliveries."

F/A-18 is an American carrier-based fighter bomber developed in the 1970s. Today it is the main combat aircraft of the US Navy. It is also in service with a number of European and Asian countries. A number of sources refer to the aircraft as the F-18, but this designation was dropped in 1982 and is not currently official.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that several states of the so-called coalition of fighter jets submitted concrete proposals to Ukraine regarding the provision of F-16s.

The so-called "coalition of fighter jets" for Ukraine currently includes eight European countries - Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal and France.
