We call on Russia to rejoin gas negotiations, - European Parliament president

As Censor.NET informs citing UN.UA, this was said by the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz in his speech at the Verkhovna Rada.

He said that this week's failure of the tripartite negotiations had resulted in Russia halting gas supply to Ukraine and called on Russia to immediately return to negotiations.

He added that the European Commission intends to work on a long-term solution that would prevent similar interruptions in gas supply in the future and ensure the safety of gas supply to Ukraine and Europe.
