Netherlands will purchase four VERA-EG radars worth 150 million euros for Ukraine
The Netherlands will send VERA-EG radars to Ukraine to strengthen the air defense system

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands will purchase four VERA-EG passive surveillance radar systems worth 150 million euros for Ukraine.
"Radars can be used, in particular, to detect, locate, track and identify air, ground and sea targets. In this way, the Netherlands contributes to the integrated air defense of Ukraine," emphasized the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren.
She also reminded that the defense ministers of the countries of the United Expeditionary Force under the leadership of Great Britain agreed to spend 107 million euros from the International Fund for Ukraine to strengthen Kyiv's air defense.
"In addition, tomorrow at the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, it will be announced that the Netherlands will allocate 40 million euros for the purchase of air defense equipment within the framework of a multilateral partnership, which will be delivered to Ukraine in the shortest possible time," Ollongren added.
The VERA-NG system consists of three receivers of radiation signals with 360-degree coverage. The system's calculations transmit data on detected targets with range, azimuth, and altitude coordinates to air defense combat posts. The operating range of the system is 400 kilometers with an accuracy of up to 20 meters.
