Training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 has already begun, - Stoltenberg
NATO allies have already started training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 aircraft. It is not yet known when exactly the fighters will be handed over.
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
"First of all, I welcome the decision of several member countries of the Alliance to continue supporting Ukraine during pilot training. And also later we can decide on the provision of 4th generation F-16 jets," he said.
The NATO Secretary General also thanked Denmark for playing a leading role in ensuring these issues and for its willingness to train Ukrainian pilots.
"It is not yet known when exactly this decision will be made. But it is already clear that the training has begun and this will allow us to provide the planes at that time. Because there will be ready pilots who can fly them," Stoltenberg added.
