Zelensky on counteroffensive: It will be like in autumn

The counter-offensive is developing slowly due to minefields and enemy resistance, but it started in the same way in autumn.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the BBC, Censor.NET reports.
"We assess the counter-offensive positively. It is not easy, because there are certain difficulties. First of all, all our land is mined, even where we have de-occupied our territory - almost two hundred thousand square kilometers of our land is mined. Therefore, counter-offensive actions are not easy. I would like to make more steps, they are a little smaller, but you know: he who fights will overcome, and he who knocks on the door will be opened," Zelensky said.
He added that the country's leadership is confident in the success of the counter-offensive.
"In the autumn, we had counter-offensive actions and it seemed like a slow process. But at some point, everyone saw how we started to move forward rapidly. It will be the same here. We are motivated. The Russian military is threatened by their leadership. They know that if they retreat, they will simply be killed," Zelensky reminded.
He added that the enemy is committing terrible tragedies on Ukrainian soil every day, recalling the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
"Some say that they wanted to prevent our counter-offensive. Well, I'll tell you frankly, don't believe such information. Russia does this every day. It blows up our infrastructure every day, hits us with missiles, etc. Such actions will not stop us, but rather make people angry," Zelensky said.
To recap, the Institute for War Studies suggests that the main attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces may still be ahead.
