AFU are successful in two areas of southern front - General Staff

Defense forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Kovalev, Censor.NET reports citing Military Media Centre.

"We have had partial success in the Novodanilivka-Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka-Novofedorivka areas and are consolidating the gains made," the statement said.

Defence forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive at the Liman, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. According to Kovalev, particularly heavy fighting continues in the area of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, in Donetsk region in the vicinity of Severne and Avdiivka, and in the Mariinka sector in the vicinity of Marinka and Pobeda in Donetsk region.
