NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will take part in the inaugural meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.

This was announced by Stoltenberg on Monday in Vilnius before the start of the summit, which will be held on July 11-12, Censor.NET writes.

"We are modernizing our political ties. President Zelensky will join us at the inaugural meeting of the new Ukraine-NATO Council," he said.

In addition, according to him, "tomorrow the allies will decide on Ukraine's path to NATO membership."

The Secretary General also announced other decisions regarding Ukraine at the planned summit. "This includes a multi-year aid package for the transition from Soviet-era standards to NATO standards of equipment and standards that will make the Ukrainian armed forces fully compatible with allies, covering critical needs such as demining equipment, fuel, medical supplies," he stressed.
