There will be no invitation to NATO for Ukraine at summit in Vilnius, - Lithuanian Ambassador Matulonis

At the NATO summit in Vilnius, Ukraine will not yet receive an invitation to join the Alliance, but a clear procedure will be defined under which conditions it can be granted.
As Censor.NET writes, this was stated by the Ambassador of Lithuania to the Alliance, Davidas Matulonis, for the edition of Žiniai Radio.
"As for this invitation — yes, there will be no invitation in Vilnius, but a much clearer procedure will be established as to how this invitation can appear when the conditions are right," Matulonis said.
He added that the wording that Ukraine will be accepted into NATO after the end of the war could encourage Russia to prolong hostilities, so this "definitely will not be said, as we also perfectly understand what this would mean."
He said negotiations on the final text of the declaration were ongoing, but the requirement for a membership action plan "will likely be dropped."
