People’s deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction in the Verkhovna Rada, head of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Yehor Chernev noted that the final communique of the NATO summit in Vilnius outlines specific steps for the future integration of Ukraine into the Alliance.

He said this in a comment to Ukrinform, Censor.NET reports.

"From the summit, I expect concrete steps from NATO aimed at Ukraine's integration into the Alliance. From what I see, such steps are in the final communique. Rearmament of Ukraine, help in adapting to NATO standards and principles, help in implementing reforms - all these are very specific statements that have never been made before," he said.

According to him, Ukraine will receive an adapted annual program with a list of specific reforms that must be made in order to join NATO.

At the same time, Chernev noted that the political decision of the leaders of NATO member countries regarding the invitation of Ukraine to NATO is desirable, but not decisive.

"In fact, we already have an invitation, not in words, but in deed. If there is also an official invitation, it will be absolutely wonderful. And the President is now making every effort to make it happen," Chernev summarized.
