Bundeswehr criticized actions of AFU during counteroffensive, - Bild

According to the Bild publication, the Bundeswehr critically assessed the use of the Armed Forces of the West in the conduct of war during the counteroffensive.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to European Pravda.

Among the main shortcomings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the German military cites the separation of combat units, due to which "the joint conduct of the battle is not visible."

According to the Bundeswehr, this increases the "danger of friendly fire", that is, retaliatory fire from one's own troops. In addition, in connection with such an approach in the direction of the main strike, "there are no maneuverable units to deploy an offensive or establish fire superiority," the document says.

In other words, because Ukraine breaks up Western-trained brigades into groups of 10-30 soldiers, isolated from the rest of the force, neither Western training, nor better weaponry, nor the large number of soldiers available matter.

In addition, the Bundeswehr has criticized the training of experienced Ukrainian servicemen, who, according to them, learn the principles of Western training worse or do not participate in it at all.

The Bundeswehr document says that the command structure shows "sometimes significant deficiencies at the relevant level in the management and application of command processes, which leads to partially incorrect and dangerous decisions."

These factors - the division of brigades and the lack of proper training of the command staff - can explain the slow advance of Ukrainian forces during the counteroffensive, states in Germany.
