Most of leaders did not come to Russia-Africa summit because of "impudent interference" of West, - Peskov
A small number of heads of state came to the Russia-Africa summit because of the "impudent interference" of the USA, France and other states.
As reported by Censor.NET with reference to Krym.Realii, this was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov.
"Through their diplomatic missions, there were attempts to put pressure on the leadership of these countries in order to prevent their participation in the forum," Peskov said.
According to him, the intervention of the West is an "absolutely outrageous" fact, which, however, "will by no means prevent the holding of the summit."
As reported, 38 of Africa's 54 countries did not send their leaders to the summit.
