This is "serious blow" to Black Sea Fleet of Russian Federation, - British intelligence on damage to "Olenegorsk Gornyak"

The damage to the large amphibious ship "Olenegorsky Gornyak" is a "serious blow" to the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, most of whose units were previously redeployed to Novorossiysk due to the high threat of attacks on Sevastopol.
This was announced by the British intelligence service, Censor.NET informs.
"On the night of August 3-4, 2023, the landing ship of the Russian Navy "Olenegorsky Gornyak" almost certainly suffered significant damage after being hit in the area of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea) base in Novorossiysk," the message reads.
It is also noted that the images of the ship, in which it tilted by 30-40 degrees, indicate a violation of the tightness of several compartments or the ineffectiveness of the crew's efforts in combating the damage.
"After Russia's invasion of Ukraine, this vessel belonging to the Northern Fleet replenished the ranks of the Black Sea Fleet and often transferred military and civilian cargo between Russia and occupied Crimea when the Kerch Bridge was damaged," British intelligence reports.
The 3,600-ton, 113-meter-long Olenegorsky Gornyak is the largest Russian naval vessel to have sustained significant damage or destruction since the sinking of the cruiser Moskva on April 13, 2022. This is a serious blow to the Black Sea Fleet, which earlier transferred most of its units to Novorossiysk due to the high threat to Sevastopol," British intelligence analysts conclude.
Also remind, that on the night of August 4, explosions rang out in Novorossiysk. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the Armed Forces allegedly tried to attack the naval base. Later it became known that surface drones hit the Russian amphibious assault ship "Olenegorsky Gornyak" in Novorossiysk Bay. It was also noted that this is a joint operation of the SSU and the Navy. A week before, on July 29, CNN showed a story about Ukrainian aquadrones.
