Decisions on negotiations regarding Ukraine’s accession to EU can be made in December, - Stefanishyna

A decision on the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the EU can be made at the summit in Brussels in December.
This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Such a decision is being made today at the level of leaders. The closest opportunity to make such a decision will be at the end of the year in December, when all the leaders of the 27 EU countries will gather in Brussels," she said.
According to her, for this, Ukraine needs to complete the implementation of seven recommendations, which were provided by the European Commission before receiving candidate status.
"Again, in October we will receive an assessment of the progress on political reforms.
We hope that our work now, both parliamentary and governmental and the leadership of the president, who is at the forefront of this process, will allow us to receive a recommendation from the European Commission on the possibility of opening negotiations," the deputy prime minister added.
